Development draft — attorney review required before commercial launch. These documents describe the current beta as of August 4, 2026. They are not a claim that the working name is available or legally cleared.
Legal, privacy, and source information
Effective August 4, 2026 · Beta version 2
Terms of Use
Educational beta, not therapy
This beta provides educational relationship information, private reflection tools, and structured communication practice for adults age 18 or older. It does not provide psychotherapy, medical or mental-health treatment, diagnosis, legal advice, crisis response, or a therapist-client relationship. AI and automated material can be incomplete or wrong. Do not rely on it for urgent, clinical, legal, or safety decisions.
Safety
Do not use a shared exercise when either partner feels afraid, coerced, monitored, threatened, or unable to stop safely. If danger is immediate, contact local emergency services. In the United States, call or text 988 for crisis support. For domestic-violence support, call 800-799-SAFE (7233) or text START to 88788. The beta is not monitored for emergencies.
Your responsibility
You decide whether and how to use each exercise, what to share, and whether professional help is appropriate. No outcome is promised. Keep account credentials secure, use fictional information during beta testing, review material before sharing it, and do not use the service to harass, surveil, threaten, impersonate, manipulate, or coerce another person.
Your content and our limited permission
You retain rights you have in content you enter. You give the service only the limited permission needed to process, display, synchronize, or export content in the manner you request. Private writing is not licensed for advertising, resale, or unrelated content development. Feedback about the product may be used to improve and commercialize it, but that permission does not include your private journal or relationship content.
Original materials
© 2026 Cody Farrow. All rights reserved in original human-authored software, selection, arrangement, design, and instructional material. Third-party concepts, quotations, publications, and marks remain the property of their owners. “Betweenkind” is the current working brand following a preliminary conflict screen; it is not represented as finally cleared or federally registered. You may not copy, resell, scrape, or redistribute original protected portions except as allowed by law or written permission.
Beta availability and liability
The beta may change, lose data, contain errors, or become unavailable. It is provided “as is” and “as available” to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. To that same extent, the operator disclaims implied warranties and liability for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss. Some jurisdictions do not allow all exclusions, so these terms apply only as far as the law permits. Access may be suspended for unsafe, unlawful, or abusive use.
Changes and governing terms
A revised effective date and a new acceptance request will accompany material changes. Governing law, dispute terms, business identity, and a legal-notice address must be selected with counsel before commercial launch.
Privacy Notice
What stays on this device
The current beta stores raw private reflections, journals, pattern-profile answers, lesson notes, worksheets, learning preferences, and some drafts in this browser’s local storage. They remain until you clear the beta data, clear browser storage, or remove the browser profile. Anyone with access to this device or an exported file may be able to see them.
What may be stored in the shared service
Supabase provides authentication and database services. Depending on the feature used, it may store account identifiers, relationship pairing information, approved shared summaries, agreements, check-ins, activity completion, and shared takeaways. The beta is designed not to place raw private worksheet answers or journals in the shared database unless a feature explicitly tells you otherwise and asks you to share.
AI processing
When you deliberately request the private AI coach and give per-use consent, the text needed for that request is sent through a Supabase server function to OpenAI. It is used to generate the requested response. The application requests that response storage be disabled, but service providers may retain limited data where their policies, security, abuse-prevention duties, or law require it. Do not submit information you are not comfortable sending to these providers.
Hosting and technical information
Cloudflare hosts the public website and may process ordinary connection data such as IP address, browser information, request time, and security logs. Supabase, OpenAI, and Cloudflare process information under their own terms and privacy practices.
Why information is used
Information is processed to provide the features you request, authenticate accounts, connect partners, synchronize approved content, maintain security, diagnose failures, and improve the beta from feedback. The beta is not designed to sell personal information or use private relationship content for targeted advertising.
Choices, retention, and security
You can keep writing private, decline AI processing, choose what is shared, revoke an approved summary, export selected records, download a backup, or clear local prototype data. Account deletion and a final retention schedule need to be completed before commercial launch; contact the operator meanwhile for an account-data request. Reasonable safeguards are used, but no browser, network, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Age and location
The beta is for adults 18 and older and is not directed to children. It is presently a United States development beta. State and international privacy rights, consent language, retention periods, and processor contracts require legal review before broader release.
Beta Tester Agreement
By accepting the beta notice, you confirm that you are at least 18; will use fictional or low-sensitivity information where possible; understand the product is unfinished and not therapy or emergency care; and will not scrape, resell, publicly reproduce, or attempt to defeat its safety and privacy controls. You may provide product feedback, and you grant the developer a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free right to use that feedback to improve or commercialize the product. This does not transfer ownership of your journal, reflections, relationship details, or exported records. Publicly available beta screens cannot be treated as confidential; any genuinely confidential pre-release material must be separately identified and covered by a written agreement.
Professional sources and attribution
The curriculum is educational synthesis, not an official implementation of any therapy and not endorsed by the people or organizations below. Original wording and exercises should not be mistaken for licensed clinical treatment. Short quotations must remain attributed; copyrighted worksheets and proprietary assessments may not be copied without permission.
